What is poker planning?

Poker planning, also known as Scrum poker or Agile estimation, is a consensus-based method used in agile development to estimate task complexity or effort. Team members use numbered cards to privately estimate a task, revealing their choices simultaneously. If estimates differ, the team discusses until reaching consensus. This technique fosters collaboration, diverse perspectives, and shared understanding, helping prioritize and manage work effectively.
